Protestor 'shot dead' at mass rally in Iran

Reports are coming in that police have fired shots during a mass rally in support of defeated presidential candidate Mirhossein Mousavi in Tehran.
killing one and wounding many others.
The rally had been called for despite a ban by authorities of any demonstrations.
An AFP correspondent at the site says police fired tear gas as dozens of protestors set several motorbikes ablaze fire.
The demonstrators were calling for new elections on the grounds of fraud.
Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has called on the election supervisory body, the Guardians Council to examine the complaints of vote rigging by Mr Mousavi.
Meanwhile the international community is closely monitoring the situation with the US expressing concern over post election violence.
U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon says the will of the Iranian people should be fully respected
