Iran insists on nuclear 'legal' right

Iran's foreign minister has said Tehran will never abandon its 'legal' right to nuclear technology and that it will not curb uranium enrichment.

Foreign minister Manouchehr Mottaki was speaking to top level ministers from France, Russia, and the United States at talks in Vienna, which are aimed at restraining Iran's nuclear programme.

They are discussing a proposal that would see Russia and France enrich fuel for an Iranian research reactor.

Under the plan, Iran would hand over most of its stockpile of uranium, which many western nations say Iran is developing for a nuclear bomb.
