Cambodia angered by Google map
Last Updated:
Cambodia's government has criticised a map on the internet created by Google Earth.
It says it's a radically misleading map of the disputed Thai-Cambodia border.
The two countries are embroiled in a bitter diplomatic row over the demarcation of the frontier.
Cambodia's Council of Ministers says the map is devoid of truth and reality and calls for its immediate removal.
The move comes ahead of the first-ever visit to the border by Prime Minister, Hun Sen, a move likely to raise tension with Thailand.
Both countries have a big military presence at a disputed area around the 11th century Preah Vihear temple.
There have been several deadly clashes there in the past three years.
Australia goes to the polls on August 21.
